Over the past few months, actress Alice Eve has been trying her damnedest to get into a superhero movie. At the start of the year she was one of the actresses rumored to be going after the role of Peggy Carter in Joe Johnston's Captain America: The First Avenger and then actually got cast in Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class before departing due to problems with the script. So what's a girl to do? Get trapped in an ATM, apparently.

The Winnipeg Free Press reports that Eve has replaced Margarita Levieva in ATM, the thriller written by Chris Sparling as a follow-up to Buried. Co-starring Josh Peck and Brian Geraghty, the three office workers trapped because of a "mysterious, hulking figure with evil intentions." The film began shooting on Monday night but doesn't have an official release date as of yet.

While my personal knowledge of Eve's work doesn't extend beyond the dark comedy Big Nothing with Simon Pegg and David Schwimmer, she seems like a capable actress and at only 28 has plenty of time to develop. Considering the good marks that Sparling received for his Buried script, this could be the project that really launches her.
