Alice In Wonderland Soundtrack Listing Revealed![]()
The best trailer I ever saw for Alice in Wonderland was a reel cut together for San Diego Comic Con, which featured most of the footage we've seen in the subsequent official trailer but was set to MGMT's "Time to Pretend," a song that just felt perfect somehow. I've been waiting for that version of the trailer to show up online somehow, but it never did, and now my final hope that the song would be included in the movie has been dashed.
MySpace has the official tracklist for the movie's soundtrack, and while I'm kind of surprised at how many rock artists are featured, MGMT aren't among them. Instead there are names like Avril Lavigne, Plain White T's, Franz Ferdinand and Owl City popping up there-- basically names that would draw in the kind of audience that both uses MySpace and knows who those people are. Um, basically not me. It's unclear how many of these songs will be included as part of the film, since Danny Elfman has already written a full score. But if this is an effort to bring in attention from young people, they've probably succeeded. Check out the full track list below. The album, titled Almost Alice and consisting entirely of songs inspired by the movie, comes out March 2. 1. "Alice (Underground)" performed by Avril Lavigne |
