The first trailer for Aliens vs. Predator Requiem is here, sort of. It’s more a collection of kill shots than a trailer and it’s Red Banded, because of all the gore. The video is quite simply scene after scene after scene of humans being killed in gruesome, awful, and imaginative ways by vicious Predators and Aliens . They’re laying all their cards right out on the table with this one. Rest assured that unlike AVP there’s no way this one is going to be PG-13.

Watch for the awkwardly named Aliens vs. Predator Requiem (AVP-R) in theaters on an awkwardly chosen date. For whatever reason, they’re releasing it on Christmas day. Because there’s no better way to celebrate the birth of Christ than with a glorified snuff film… apparently. Maybe they should have waited to release it on Jesus’ death day instead? At least that would have had a weird, twisted sort of logic to it.

Its hard to say anything with Aliens or Predators in it will suck, but come on. Seriously, why cant they freaking have an AvP movie take place in Space? Thats what I want, I want to see the Predators with thier respect for humanity in place, coming in a saving our butts, not Predators and Aliens killing humans alike... this sucks... it may be a a lot fo cool action, but the story (what little there is) seems completely uninspired...
Don't we have to EARN the respect of a predator, first? I thought the point in the predator movies was that they really didn't care one way or another about humans so long as it was a fair fight (they were fighting someone armed) and whoever came across their path gave them a pretty good run for their money (i.e. Arnold beating the 1st pred fair and square; Danny Glover actually killing the 2nd pred in his own ship no less -- I am going to ignore the team up in the first AVP...that was so stupid).
Yeah, I'd prefer to see a movie in space, but I'm not surprised that neither of the alien breeds are jumping on our (the humans') side.
