I don't think I would have been a Twilight kind of girl when I was in middle school-- I was more into reading Stephen King and watching Back to the Future on a loop at the time-- but for some reason Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke's new movie, Red Riding Hood, seems like it would have been right up my alley. Maybe it's the crazy visuals we've seen so far or just the idea of a tweaked version of the classic fairy tale, but seeing Amanda Seyfried in that blood-red hood I can only think that I would have forced my friends to see it, even if we giggled through it a little bit.

Now that we've gotten deeper into my middle school years than anyone ever wanted to go, check out the new poster for Red Riding Hood that debuted at Apple, and that should appeal to plenty of 13-year-old girls like I used to be. Seyfried's still got the kickin' red hood but now she's running through the forest like she's on a mission, or maybe chasing after Ron, Hermione and Harry in one of those forest scenes from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Either way I like it, and will be looking forward to it despite all reason when the movie comes out March 11. Take a look below and see if you can share in this madness with me.
