Amber Heard and Odette Yustman have each gotten to scream their lungs out in separate horror movies-- Heard in All the Boys Love Mandy Lane, Yustman in The Unborn-- but now they'll double their power by teaming up. The two actresses will star in And Soon the Darkness, a remake of a 1970 British thriller about two girls on a bike trip in a remote section of Argentina (the original was set in France). Because this is a horror movie, you can bet the trip goes downhill in a hurry.
THR adds that Heard will also be producing for the first time, and director Marcos Efron will also be a newbie-- he's only made commercials until now. Not a bad idea, really, using a small horror thriller as your first experiment in producing or directing. Plus when you're casting two hotties who are already well-known to the target audience, you've already guaranteed some ticket sales. Smart move, everyone.
