I always think I’m going to hate Hilary Swank. Then I show up for one of her movies and, goddammit, the lady can act. So even though Amelia looks like the cardboard cutout of a good biopic, I’m assuming it’s great, against my better judgment. You have to admit, Hilary Swank really has the voice down. Assuming of course she’s trying to sound like her voice is coming out of an oldtimey tape recorder and not going into one.
