American Pie Installment American Reunion Headed To Blu-Ray In July

Despite appearing to middling reviews, all the hype surrounding the American Pie cast’s fourth installment, American Reunion, seemed to ensure the flick would make plenty of money. As it turns out, that was both right and wrong. American Reunion just barely made back its budget in the States, which would certainly not have covered the film’s advertising, but it managed to pull in an extra $117 million elsewhere in the world. I guess in some markets Stifler never gets old.

To be fair, I really have always enjoyed the relationship between Alyson Hannigan's Michelle and Jason Biggs' Jim. If you're like me and didn’t catch the film in its original theatrical run, you won’t have to wait very long to see what the couple’s life has been like after having a baby. Universal Studios Home Entertainment is bringing American Reunion’s event-filled weekend to Blu-Ray and DVD on July 10. True to a movie so jam-packed with random stuff, American Reunion will also feature a lengthy list of extras, mentioned in full, below.

BLU-RAY and DVD Bonus Features

  • 7 Deleted scenes
  • Gag Reel
  • The “Reunion” Reunion: Re-launching the Series
  • Jim’s Dad
  • Ouch! My Balls!
  • Feature Commentary with Co-Directors/Co-Writers Jon Hurwitz & Hayden Schlossberg

BLU-RAY Exclusive Bonus Features

  • 13 Extended Scenes
  • Alternate Takes
  • The “Out of Control” Track
  • The Best of Biggs – Hangin’ Out with Jason B.
  • Lake Bake
  • Dancing with the OzAmerican Gonad-iators: The Fight Scene
  • American Reunion Yearbook
  • UltraViolet
  • Digital Copy
  • BD-LIVE
  • pocket BLU™ app
  • uHEAR

I might skip this one in favor of waiting it out for a full series set. That is, as long as that full series set is precluding the ridiculous and sometimes sad American Pie Presents straight-to-DVD fodder that somehow Eugene Levy still got sucked into. American Reunion may not have been great, but it was certainly a step in the right direction for the franchise.
