Tina Fey and Amy Poehler may no longer be working together behind the SNL Weekend Update desk, but they haven't given up on being partners. Variety reports that they'll re-team for the new Universal Pictures comedy Baby Mama.
Michael McCullers is writing and directing, and Lorne Michaels will get his mitts on yet another Tina Fey paycheck by producing.
The plan is to make the movie about a single career woman who wants to have a kid and keep working at the same time. To do it, she hires a surrogate. No word on which characters Fey and Poehler will play, but I can't see Tina as the surrogate. It has to be Amy Poehler who ends up with another woman's bun in the oven.
