Aniston's Break Up Ruins The Break-Up![]()
Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn’s relationship may be great, but their first movie together, The Break-Up could be in serious trouble. Reports from several different sources indicate that the movie is headed for a series of rather expensive re-shoots.
Apparently, this is a symptom of the studio test-audience system. The film is testing horribly and the studio is in panic mode. Why do audiences hate it? Because the film ends with Jen and Vince’s characters breaking up. Wait a minute… isn’t this movie called The Break-Up? Were these test audience idiots expecting a happy ending? A happy ending is exactly what we’re going to get. Paramount is spending millions to rework the movie into a happier affair. The Break-Up will now end with a make up, to satiate all those sappy soccer moms who spend too much time reading in Us Weekly about poor Jen getting dumped by Brad. That’s not a joke by the way, that’s really the reason the film is being re-shot. The New York Post quotes one inside source as saying, “People want to see Jennifer happy after she was thrown over by Brad Pitt for Angelina Jolie.” Is this a new trend in Hollywood? Are movies now influenced by tabloid, rumor-mongering and rag-reporting? Or is this just an isolated incident where an already bad film was only made worse by the personal lives of the people starring in it? Let’s hope it’s the latter. |
