Anjelica Huston And Philip Baker Hall Join I'm With Cancer![]()
We've already well established why we're ridiculously excited about I'm With Cancer and why you should be too. Not only is it directed by The Wackness's Jonathan Levine, not only does it star James McAvoy and Seth Rogen as the unlikeliest friends in cinema history, not only is the the follow-up project for Anna Kendrick after her Up in the Air Oscar nomination, but it's still managing to snag even more talent just a few days from the start of production.
Today Variety reports that Anjelica Huston and Philip Baker Hall-- both standout actors in their own rights-- will be joining the cast, and presumably heading up to Vancouver shortly to begin filming. No word on what their parts will be, but given that it's a story about a twentysomething going through cancer, there's an endless parade of both relatives and doctors to be cast. The project is obviously a big deal for McAvoy, who has been overshadowed by his female costars in all his big American movies (Atonement, Wanted), but even more so for Rogen, who has definitely lost some of the sheen he had in the Knocked Up/Superbad days of 2007. Neither Huston or Hall is necessarily a guarantee of quality, of course-- but it can't hurt that even more quality actors are signing on here. |
