Most people are excited about at least one of the super-hero movies coming out this summer: Iron Man, Dark Knight, Incredible Hulk, or even Hancock. My most anticipated super-hero flick still remains off on the horizon though: Watchmen, Zach Snyder’s adaptation of one of the best graphic novels of all time.
We’re not getting near enough updates about the movie’s production for those of us who are excited about the film, especially in light of the news that litigation may cause problems for the film’s release. It’s been great to see a few character promotional shots and set photos, but we want more!
This week, that “more” comes in the form of images of action figures that will coincide with the film’s release. They’re part of this weekend’s New York Comic-Con, where four of the figures will be revealed. Thankfully for those of us not in New York, Entertainment Weekly has gotten their hands on images of two of the figures: Nite Owl and fan-favorite Rorschach.
These figures look great and just reinforce how excited I am about the Watchmen movie. They look pretty detailed in the pictures and it’s a shame the EW article doesn’t offer who is behind these figures. Hopefully more pictures will pop online over the weekend as others get to see them on display in New York. Until then, head over to EW.com to see Rorschach and Nite Owl in figure form.

Never in my WILDEST dreams (And I've had some pretty wild ones. Mostly involving Rosie O'Donnel, go figure) did I ever expect to see action figures of the characters from Alan Moore's masterpiece, The Watchmen.
That's like having characters from Gravity's Rainbow.
This isn't the first time figures were planned for Watchmen. We were supposed to get some for the big anniversary a few years ago, but Moore put the kibosh on that and the anniversary pretty much went by unnoticed.
Assuming the movie actually makes it to theaters, the figures are pretty much guaranteed.
