Another Young Australian Ready To Take Over The World
If Sam Worthington has taught us anything, it's that you always have to look out for the unknown Australian. So Callan McAuliffe may not seem like much of a threat to the well-known cast of Flipped, but Aidan Quinn, Rebecca De Mornay, John Mahoney and company had better watch out-- these Australians arrive here hungry and ready to be stars.
McAuliffe, who is 14 years old according to this article, has been picked to play the male lead in Flipped, an adaptation of a book about boy and girl neighbors who gradually fall in love during the late 50s and early 60s. THR also reports that Madeline Carroll, who played Kevin Costner's daughter in last summer's Swing Vote, will play the object of his affection. Flipped starts filming in June, and presumably it's only a few months before McAuliffe becomes the new young king of Hollywood. Watch your back, Shia LaBeouf.
