Antonio Banderas Pitches "No Pants" Pants In Puss In Boots Viral Video

The inconsistency of cartoon characters wearing pants has always baffled me. If Donald Duck doesn't wear pants, why does Mickey Mouse? What about Alvin and the Chipmunks vs. The Smurfs? I'll give some credit to the Looney Tunes, as they are committed to the "animals don't need clothes" bit, but everywhere else it's up in the air. I'm not the first person to think about this aloud, and I won't be the last, but now Puss in Boots is here to promote one idea over the other.

In a viral video released by Dreamworks Animation for the upcoming Shrek spinoff, the Antonio Banderas-voiced feline is pitching is favorite brand of slacks: "No pants" pants. While I don't have an argument against the brand being well ventilated and comfortable, I can't be the only one who thinks it's kind of weird to watch an animated video where a good number of the shots focus directly on a cat's crotch. One thing is for certain: the furries out there are going to go absolutely bonkers for this.
