Judd Apatow and Adam Sandler collaborated on the script for You Don’t Mess with the Zohan. The resulting movie is hilarious, and apparently they liked working together so much that they’re getting together on another project. This one is Judd Apatow’s third ever directorial effort, his follow up to Knocked Up, which will star Sandler and Knocked Up's Seth Rogen.
This weekend, talking to MTV, Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen spilled the beans on just what their as of yet untitled project will be about. It will not be about sex, or the results of having sex, as Apatow’s previous two films were. In fact, it sounds like something of a departure for him. The film will be about stand-up comedians. If you’re looking for more details than that, well don’t hold your breath. That’s all we really know.
Adam Sandler however, does reveal that he’ll be playing one of the stand-ups. He says, “I've got to write an act again. It's been a long time. I haven't done stand-up in, like, 10 years. Even more.” To get ready, he may end up at local comedy clubs, trying out material. Hear the rest of what Sandler has to say about Apatow’s new movie via the video below:
