40 Year-Old Virgin writer/director Judd Apatow is moving from virginity to pregnancy, his next project will be something called Knocked Up and it'll co-star Anne Hathaway.

Last we heard about the project, it was to be fuzzy funnyman Seth Rogen's bid at a starring role. Rogen has been working with Apatow since Freaks & Geeks, and he's become a little like Apatow's muse. Tim Burton has Johnny Depp, Judd Apatow has Seth Rogen. The Hollywood Reporter says Hathaway is the latest addition to the cast, and it's probably safe to assume that as the movie title suggests, she'll be with baby.

The film follows the adventures of a twenty-something guy who discovers he impregnated a one night stand. Comedy, poignancy, and hopefully a great closing credits dance number ensues.

Also already on board the project are Apatow regulars Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann. Leslie had a bit part in 40 Year-Old Virgin and Paul Rudd coated himself in Sex Panther for Apatow's Anchorman as well as playing one of Steve Carell's buddies in Virgin. It could be Apatow not Rogen in the starring role, at this point it's too early to say. I suppose they could still run out and get Tom Cruise. Let's hope not. Rogen deserves his shot.
