The Apatow/Rogen train has just become an Express. A Pineapple Express!
Wow, that was bad.
So Variety says that 40 Year-Old Virgin’s director Judd Apatow and Virgin supporting actor Seth Rogen are staging a ‘Freaks and Geeks’ reunion. For you neophytes who missed the few weeks it was allowed to stay on the air, ‘Freaks and Geeks’ was completely brilliant TV series Apatow did in 1999. Though it was a ratings flop, it turned out to be a launching pad for young stars like James Franco, Seth Rogen and Linda Cardellini. Franco and Rogen played bad-boy buddies on the show.
Judd Apatow is now working on producing a new comedy called The Pineapple Express, and he’s cast Seth Rogen and James Franco as his leads. They’ll play a pair of stoner buddies who get mixed up in a drug gang. It’ll be great to see them back together again.
Seth Rogen is currently working on another movie with Judd. Next year you’ll see him star in the Apatow written and directed movie Knocked Up. James Franco was last seen crashing and burning in Flyboys. Not that it matters, he’s got it made as long as he’s not killed off by Spidey in next summer’s Spider-Man 3.

F&G - Just began to get into it from what I saw on YouTube!
Desario rules! I only watched the clips to see him...perform!
But then I got into everybody else & they're thing! So what'd I do?
Went out & bought the whole DVD series! I'm seriously 'obsessed' with James Franco!
The Pineapple Express comedy should be somewhat of a relief for him but me & about 50 million other women would no doubt love to see him in romantic roles or hard-hitter cop-type physical roles. LOVED his portrayal in Annapolis! I was shocked to see how this boy grew UP!!
I hope much success for him & that he keeps his head on straight!
Seems like the 'perfect gentleman'!
