Are Michael Bay And McG Seriously Feuding?![]()
So who among you thought Michael Bay has the copyright on all giant freakin' robots, now and forever? Wait, none of you? Us too. But apparently he took the inclusion of big "harvester" robots in the upcoming Terminator: Salvation as a direct swipe at his film-- and now McG has fired back with his own thoughts on the matter.
First there was Bay's post on his fan forums, which swiped at McG's movie by saying "We've seen certain movies coming out even try to duplicate Transformer size robots in their ads. Please, come on." Then McG, who presented some footage from Terminator: Salvation in New York yesterday, told Comcast Online that Bay's comment "bothers me, to tell you the truth." He went on to say, ""I say with respect, giant robots have been the theme of film for a real long time . So we want to do everything we can to create separation [between Terminator and Transformers." I'm sure it doesn't come as a surprise to anyone that Michael Bay is acting like a jerk, and I'm relieved to see that McG isn't really taking the bait. And does anyone really think there are people who will see Transformers at the exclusion of Terminator? Learn to play nice, Bay, or one of those explosions may turn on you one of these days. |
