Aronofsky Still Upholding The Law![]()
Over the weekend we reported on rumors circulating that Darren Aronofsky was unhappy with the progress of the Robocop remake and was preparing to bail. The world sighed a breath of relief. Finally a high-profile and pointless remake was going off the rails. Well it seems we celebrated too soon. JoBlo says that Aronofsky's words and body language have simply been misinterpreted. A source says that the writer/director is perfectly happy with how the Robocop project is shaping up and there are no problems to report or truth to rumors that he is planning to leave.
According to this source, the real reason behind his Robocop apathy is simply that he is tired of endlessly being asked about Robocop. With the release of his new movie The Wrestler and the Oscar buzz that is now following it, Aronofsky is out on the junket circuit trying to push interest in his movie and push it hard. Unfortunately it seems all the journalists really want from him is an update on Robocop. So if you're lucky enough to have an interview with Mr Aronofsky any time soon you might want to scrub the Robocop questions off your prep sheet and ask him another couple about The Wrestler instead. It seems like he might appreciate it. |
