Ashton Kutcher Is An American Neurotic![]()
I think I’m starting to like Ashton Kutcher. Not his acting, obviously, but maybe as a person. There’s a chance he may not be the idiot we all think he is. At least that’s the impression I got when I saw him on Politically Incorrect last week. Don’t get me wrong, the guy is kind of a spazz, but maybe not a stupid spazz. God help me, I think I may be rooting for him to succeed.
I may even be sort of interested in his next movie. I wonder if there’s a pill for this. because his next project is yet another lame romantic comedy and I don’t want to like another lame Ashton Kutcher rom-com. According to the latest Production Weekly, Kutcher is set to star in a film called American Neurotic. It’s the story of a New York womanizer with commitment issues. He confesses the details of his female conquests to his psychiatrist, and then shortly thereafter meets his dream girl. One problem: His dream girl is his shrink’s daughter. Kutcher and his love interest get closer while Kutcher’s best friend and the girl’s father do everything they can to keep them from getting together. If the plot of American Neurotic sounds a little bit familiar, that’s probably because you saw the Uma Thurman movie Prime. Same story, swap the genders. It wasn’t very good when Uma did it and it probably won’t be very good with Kutcher either, but since I’m now on Ashton’s side I’m forced to hope for the best. American Neurotic is still in early stages of development. Sony Pictures hasn’t found a director yet, just Ashton to star in it. |
