Our Cinema Blend Sundance team didn't write anything about Spread, but they did take advantage of seeing Ashton and Demi on the red carpet to promote it. Looks like they missed something worth seeing, though, now that the comedy has been picked up for North American and Australian distribution by Anchor Bay Entertainment.

Variety says the comedy, which stars Kutchen as an L.A. womanizer, was picked up for about $3.5 million, a pretty hefty figure by Sundance standards. But given Kutcher's box office reliabilty-- What Happened in Vegas somehow made $80 million-- he might be worth the investment.
