Ashton Kutcher comes off as a douche bag, which kind of sucks because he’s probably a pretty cool dude. I mean, he does great things for charity; he’s supposedly a smart guy. Yet, he tends to play characters that are impossible to relate to or take seriously, and if society has taught us anything, it’s that disconnecting actors from the characters they play is just silly. So either Ashton plays into that perception of himself, or he’s just really bad at picking scripts. Spread will not make you like Ashton Kutcher more. I say that without seeing the film, but from the trailer recently released, it seems as though it has him playing a guy named Nikki, a dude with money that all the women love. But wait! This guy who has never had to win over a girl meets a girl that he actually has to fight for. Odds are he’ll get the girl anyway. You can catch the trailer in HD over at Apple. See if Ashton can win you over too.
