Austin Powers 4 Still Possible After All

By Josh Tyler: 2008-05-21 05:11:57
Austin Powers 4 Still Possible After All The speculation over whether or not Austin Powers 4 will ever actually happen continues. Not long ago Scott Evil himself Seth Green poured cold water over everything when he said that there was no way we’d see this movie any time soon. Now though, we’ve got Jay Roach, saying something entirely different.

Roach directed all three movies, while Seth Green played a supporting character who may or may not even be needed if they make a fourth movie. So I’m inclined to believe Roach in this matter. He tells MTV that Mike Myers is considering it. That’s something at least, isn’t it?

Still, there’s no script, no pre-production, no nothing really. Just this vague need Mike Myers seems to have to keep flogging the whole Austin Powers thing to death. I know the third one made a lot of money without being funny, but does anyone think that’ll happen again if he makes a fourth movie? We’re all over Austin Powers, and judging from the tepid reaction the trailers for The Love Guru are getting, we may be over Mike Myers as well. It was fun while it lasted.
