The speculation over whether or not Austin Powers 4 will ever actually happen continues. Not long ago Scott Evil himself Seth Green poured cold water over everything when he said that there was no way we’d see this movie any time soon. Now though, we’ve got Jay Roach, saying something entirely different.
Roach directed all three movies, while Seth Green played a supporting character who may or may not even be needed if they make a fourth movie. So I’m inclined to believe Roach in this matter. He tells MTV that Mike Myers is considering it. That’s something at least, isn’t it?
Still, there’s no script, no pre-production, no nothing really. Just this vague need Mike Myers seems to have to keep flogging the whole Austin Powers thing to death. I know the third one made a lot of money without being funny, but does anyone think that’ll happen again if he makes a fourth movie? We’re all over Austin Powers, and judging from the tepid reaction the trailers for The Love Guru are getting, we may be over Mike Myers as well. It was fun while it lasted.

Mike Meyers is funny, but he needs to step away from the prosthetically anhanced over the top characters and start acting... So I Married and Axe Murderer was funny (OK, so he played his ow Dad, and was hilarious, but still he also acted).
i think that would be awesome because all of my friends looooove austin powers and expecially me! i would love to hear those words: "and yes there will be another austin powers movie" oh my god! that would be the best day in history! AUSTIN POWERS KEEP SHAGGIN!
It would be a great movie like all the other ones. It is a good series of movies that a lot of people love to watch. 3rd one was not as funny but still funny in many ways. There needs to be another one b/c Mike has not had a good movie in a long time and this will get him back to where he once was.
