Filming is already underway for X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but that doesn’t mean it’s too late for casting announcements! XMenFilms.net reports that, even as New Zealanders are spying Hugh Jackman in costume, the Australian actor Christian Clark has revealed that he’ll have a role in the film—but nobody’s sure just what that role will be .
Clark revealed to the Australian newspaper Adelaide Advertiser that he would have a role in the film, but immediately after he said it, he remembered the gag order that prevented him from saying anything else about the film. Ah, newbies. His silence isn’t keeping the commenters at XMenFilms.net from speculating, though; moviefans.de writes, “Hmm… Christian Clark… Looks a little bit like Tom Cruise… A Young Stryker… Don’t know…”
So what do you think? Does Clark have what it takes to be Stryker, or is he just some random unknown actor making a bigger deal of his part for publicity’s sake? Most importantly, is he hot enough to go toe to toe with Hugh Jackman? I think that answer is clear enough—look at that jawline!—but for the rest, I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
