Avatar Owns Broadcast Film Critics Awards, Kind Of image
We are now knee deep in awards season. This means we're going to start getting a better idea of who will take home some Oscars in March. While the obvious favorite these days is the smurf-ridden Avatar, a small indie darling that many (including myself) thought would be forgotten, has been getting a whole lot of love. I'm talking about The Hurt Locker. And who better to be responsible for taking away Avatar's awards season pride than James Cameron's ex-wife, Kathryn Bigelow, director of The Hurt Locker?

Bieglow continued her awards domination Friday night, taking home the two big awards, Best Picture and Best Director, at the 15th Annual Broadcast Film Critics Awards. Her ex-hubby took home seven awards, but all were for technical categories. Inglourious Basterds took home the awards for Best Supporting Actor (Christoph Waltz, duh), Best Original Screenplay, and Best Ensemble.
