Back To The Sneaker![]()
I don't know who Al Cabino is, and his blog isn't exatly biographical, but anybody calling themselves a sneaker activist and campaigning for Back to the Future footwear is someone I can approve of.
Yep, somebody just can't live another day without their own mass produced versions of Marty McFly's futuristic footwear in Back to the Future Part II. I've gotta admit, those were pretty cool. Power laces! Forget velcro Roos, who wouldn't want those? Cabino has started an online petition and is spamming the hell out of everyone he can find to cajole, push, or irritate Nike into producing a version of Marty's shoe to sell to the public. Maybe once he's finished with that, we can get him to talk to Hasbro about those hoverboards. It's the new millennium, and if we can't have our flying cars the least science can do is provide us with proper levitating entertainment equipment. If you're keen on supporting Al's cause, then sign his online petition. Granted, online petitions rarely accomplish anything, but a geek can dream can't he? So far Al's got over 20,000 signatures. How many more till we can all get a pair Al? The world needs more sneakerographers. |
