Bale Gets Harsh

Now that you know what he looks like in a bat suit, ever wondered what Christian Bale would look like with a buzz cut and tattoos? Yeah, me neither, but that's what he donned for his upcoming flick Harsh Times which is set for a 2006 release but will debut at next month's Toronto International Film Festival.

According to Ropes of Silicon , "Harsh Times is a dark urban comedy of a Marine who comes home from Iraq to start a marriage and civilian life but quickly becomes entangled with an old friend from South Central whose layabout ways have begun to catch up with him.". Yet another post-Iraq war fallout flick? Maybe not exactly, but at least Bale doesn't spend any time wearing a Santa hat.

The film was written and directed by David Ayer, whose other screenwriting credits include Training Day, S.W.A.T., and The Fast and the Furious. Starring actors include Bale, Freddy Rodríguez, Tammy Trull, and Adriana Millan.
