Word circulating is that after Sharon Stone's $19 million lawsuit against Mario Kassar and Andrew Vajna over the failed Basic Instinct 2 a settlement has been reached.

And that settlement is that the movie is now back on the rails. Yes, Sharon Stone will return to the role of Catherine Tramell and has said, that even though she will be nearly 50 when the movie finally gets a released she is quite prepared to go nude for her reported $12 million paycheck and has stipulated a younger lover interest for her must be supplied.

Michael Douglas will not return and as yet no writer or director has been announced.
