Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby Gets A Lavish New Trailer
Baz Luhrmann's adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby is no longer getting a December release, but it sure is getting one hell of an advertising push. This week we've seen Warner Bros. release a series of new character posters for the film, showing off actors like Joel Edgerton, Isla Fisher, and Tobey Maguire, but now we're getting the real deal: the film's first theatrical trailer (and first footage we've seen since May).
The trailer premiered over on Apple, where you can see it in HD, but we also have it for you below.
And speaking of the character poster series, Warner Bros has wrapped that up as well, posting the final two pieces - featuring Jay Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Daisy Buchanan (Carey Mulligan). You can see both of them below and click to see them in high-res.
Adapted by Luhrmann and co-writer Craig Pearce, The Great Gatsby tells the story of Nick Carraway (Maguire) a young man from the midwest who gets caught up in the world of high society after moving to Long Island and meeting the famous Jay Gatsby (DiCaprio). But as Carraway is brought in closer to Gatsby's inner circle, he discovers that everything he believed to be true about the man might actually be an elaborate lie. The film also stars Jason Clarke, Adelaide Clemens, Callan McAuliffe and Gemma Ward. To see more posters, the first trailer, multiple stills and plenty of news about the movie, be sure to head over to our Blend Film Database.
