The first trailer for Jack Black and Mos Def’s Be Kind Rewind has just popped up online. In the film, Black accidentally erases all the tapes in a video store and tries to set things right by re-shooting all the movies himself, starring himself. From the trailer, the whole thing looks almost like some sort of bizarre, heart-warming tribute to the men and women of um… YouTube.
It’s a decent trailer, the movie has potential, and it’s about time Mos Def got more work. Besides, it’s directed by Michel Gondry. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Michel Gondry. Make sure your ass is in a seat when Be Kind Rewind gets released December 24th.
