Behind The Scenes: Will Ferrell And Mark Wahlberg Are The Other Guys
Adam McKay's latest Will Ferrell vehicle, The Other Guys, claims to be a movie about those two hesitant guys in the background of every buddy cop movie, the guys who want to be the Mel Gibsons and Danny Glovers, the Martin Lawrence and Will Smith wannabes. I was under the impression that that movie had already been made, the painfully spoofy film version of Starsky and Hutch. But the thing about McKay's movies is that the plot is rarely important, since it's just a means of allowing Will Ferrell to say hilariously random shit.
MTV.com has a look behind the scenes of The Other Guys, and the only thing the footage seems to accomplish is making Samuel L. Jackson look oddly tiny in comparison to Dwayne Johnson (the two play the badass cops). As with most featurettes, we don't really get much of an idea idea of how the movie's going to look, but it's hard not to be excited about the potential of Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell playing off each other. For now, I suppose we just have to have faith that Adam McKay still has it. Check out the featurette below and tell us what you think. |
