Don't you remember the scene in Alice in Wonderland with the pirate ship? Or the scores of extras in Victorian clothing? No? Well Tim Burton is putting that scene in your head whether you like it or not, based on new photos from behind the scenes of his motion-capture take on Lewis Carroll's classic story. The 3D movie-focused blog Market Saw got the shots from an extra on the set, and we've included a few of them below. They're hosting over 40 high-res photos, so be sure to check them out.
Most of the shots focus on a ship that honestly looks identical to the one that Sweeney Todd rode into London on in Burton's movie last year. But given that the movie will be motion captured, there really is no telling how it will look in the end. While these photos give some idea of where Burton is going with his vision, we won't really know what the movie will look like until it's gone through many, many hours of computer work. Still, check out the photos below and at Market Saw, and start speculating.
