Beverly Hills Cop IV Getting Yet Another Writer![]()
There's a lot of news out there today about Beverly Hills Cop IV, and none of it seems to agree with each other. First Moviehole was reporting that the characters Rosewood and Taggart, played by Judge Reinhold and John Ashton respectively, would be returning for the fourth film, and that Derek Haas and Michael Brandt's script Dying Day would be the basis for the new film. Now Collider, having spoken to "a trusted source," is saying that's all wrong.
Apparently Haas and Brandt's script is being tossed entirely, and new writers are being brought in, meaning that nobody knows who will even be writing the next film, much less who will wind up in it. Basically, despite script reviews and all kinds of information that's been leaking over the internet in the past few months, no one knows anything about this project yet, and it's not ready to film any time soon. Bummer for anyone looking forward to it, but possibly a reprieve for those of us who think it's a terrible, terrible idea to begin with. |
