Paul Rudd will finally get some respect, with a starring role in a movie opposite Seann William Scott. Score one for Sex Panther! That stuff really works.

Production Weekly says the movie is a comedy being directed by Luke Greenfield and written by Timothy Dowling called Big Brother. It's the story of two egotistical, thirtysomething bachelors who live a life of orgys, booze, and irresponsibility. One day things get a little out of hand, and a judge forces them to join the Big Brothers program as part of their community service. They're lucky they weren't ordered to become someone's butler.

It actually sounds like a perfect fit for Rudd, a sort of pseudo-blending of The 40 Year-Old Virgin and Wedding Crashers. With Seth Rogen on the Hollywood fast track and now Rudd getting a major roles as well, that only leaves the fourth Virgin cast member Romany Malco in need of a major gig. Let's get to work on that. Malco deserves to be more than a sidekick.
