A few years ago most people thought Andy Samberg was the star in waiting at Saturday Night Live, but now it’s looking more and more like he might be fourth in line behind Bill Hader, Jason Sudeikis and Kristen Wiig. Hader especially has crushed nearly everything he’s been in, from the cop in Superbad to the carnival manager in Adventureland, to his superb voice work in Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs. None of those films have quite made him a star yet, but any one of his three future projects could be the one. The first, Paul, comes out in a few weeks, but the other two are just being announced.

According to The Playlist, the first of those two projects is from The Wrestler scribe Rob Siegel, and it’s a whole lot darker than you might expect. A biopic on the life of comedian Vaughn Meader, it follows the celebrity impersonator as he gained international fame poking fun at President John F. Kennedy, only to see it all go up in smoke with Lee Harvey Oswald’s bullet.

Beyond that, Hader is also partnering with Lonely Island writer Akiva Schaffer to rework Henchmen, a comedic send-up of the Bourne Series that showcases two hapless goons that slowly realize they’re actually working for the bad guys. It’ll be filmed much like the Paul Greengrass Bourne films, using handheld cameras and shooting in documentary fashion.

Pick your poison, America. Someday Bill Hader will be a star. Whether it comes through playing the sad clown in Vaughn Meader or the goofy muscle in Henchmen is the only real question.
