Bill Murray Has The Power To Enslave God's Angels![]()
If 2009 proved anything, it’s that Bill Murray needs to be in more movies. Even five minutes of Murray was enough to get a lot of people excited about seeing things in a theater again. Imagine if he did, you know, actual starring roles. But Murray hasn’t really played the lead in anything worth noting since 2005’s Broken Flowers. He’s been happy to kick back and take it easy, popping up for the occasional cameo or showing up for voice work in movies like Fantastic Mr. Fox. The world needs more Bill Murray but it looks like, at least until Ghostbusters 3 gets off the ground) we’ll continue to get him only in trickles.
According to Production Weekly for his next project he’s taking another supporting role. This time it’s in the Mitch Glazer written and directed dramatic thriller Passion Play. Murray will step in to replace actor Toby Kebbell, who had been slated to play a murderous mobster named Happy. The movie is about an angel under the control of a ruthless gangster, who’s saved by a down on his luck trumpet player. I guess that makes Bill Murray the bad guy, with the power to imprison god’s messengers. Already on board the film are Mickey Rourke, Megan Fox, and Kelly Lynch. |
