Bill S. Preston Discovered Behind The Camera![]()
We all know what’s happened to Keanu Reeves since the Bill and Ted movies. Low blows against his perpetual “whoa” attitude aside, the actor has taken on some pretty massive roles and won over quite a bit of the viewing public. But what about the other half of the San Dimas time traveling stoners? Other than a supporting vampire role in The Lost Boys, Alex Winter hasn’t exactly stayed in the limelight. What’s Bill been up to while Ted’s been making serious cash?
It appears that Winter has been less visible because he’s moved to a less visible position, but he’s still working in Hollywood. In fact, Cinematical has discovered that Winter is behind a live-action movie adaptation of the kid’s cartoon Ben 10. What’s that? You haven’t heard about this project? That’s because it slid past most people. Despite being a live-action adaptation, Ben 10: Race Against Time is a telefilm, airing on Cartoon Network on Wednesday, November 21st (and most likely a good part of Thanksgiving Weekend). I have to admit I’m not a Ben 10 aficionado, but I am slightly familiar with the cartoon’s premise. It’s about a kid (that would be Ben) who discovers a piece of alien technology masquerading as a watch. Using the watch, Ben can transform into different alien creatures (take a guess how many he can change into). Although it’s reminiscent of several other cartoons that came before it, the show is quite a hit with younglings. So both Bill and Ted are working in Hollywood, but Ted is starring in movies while Bill is making them for television. Who are we to criticize though? Alex Winter’s fate could be a lot worse than a continuing career. At least he’s not face down in the gutter somewhere wishing for a return to Bill & Ted’s glory days. |
