In the history of unlikely couples together onscreen, Billy Bob Thornton and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson might be the oddest and the most entertaining. Somehow the gods have smiled upon us and the two of them are set to star in Faster, a movie in which the two aren't just chasing each other, but they're nameless characters on the run. Check and mate.

George Tillman, who most recently made the Notorious B.I.G. biopic Notorious, will direct, according to Variety. Johnson will play Driver, an ex-cop avenging his brother's murder, while Thornton is Cop, hot on Driver's trail. Somewhere out there is the actor who will play Killer, a hitman chasing Driver. This is like that time Hugh Jackman played a character known entirely as The Drover in Australia, except with a lot more killing and, well, probably a lot less unintentionally gay.
