The Weinstein Company hopes this Christmas, you’ll celebrate the birth of your Lord and Savior by watching a killer terrorize hot sorority girls. Black Christmas will be Hollywood’s latest attempt at getting people interested in horror movies during the year’s most family friendly holiday. Sorry, I’m just not interested in mixing blood with my eggnog.

They try this with at least one movie ever year, and so far it just hasn’t worked. In 2004 it was tried with Anna Paquin in a movie called Darkness, and since you probably have never even heard its name that ought to tell you how well that worked out.

This time, at least the horror movie is Christmas themed. Maybe that will help. Their poster definitely works the Christmas colors angle.
