Will Ferrell’s new movie making formula seems to be to make fun of second tier sports. Last year NASCAR was in his cross-hairs, this year it’s male competitive figure skating. Next year maybe it's competitive Bass fishing? For now, Will has squeezed himself into a pair of tights for Blades of Glory and as you might expect, it’s not pretty.

It is however potentially funny, as the brand new trailer for Blades of Glory here illustrates. The thing I didn’t realize about the film until now is that it’s not just an ice skating comedy, but a pairs skating comedy. Will Ferrell and Jon Heder play the sport’s first ever all male pairs skating team. Suddenly the concept just got a lot funnier.
