Brad Pitt Puts Together A Winning Team In New Moneyball Trailer
Who doesn't love a great baseball movie? Sure, there are people out there that don't like the sport and find it boring (Note: I don't understand you), but it's impossible to deny that the two work together like spaghetti and meatballs. From Field of Dreams to Bull Durham and from Pride of the Yankees to The Sandlot, it's a legacy that's hard to tarnish and it doesn't look like Bennett Miller's Moneyball will.
Based on the book by Michael Lewis and adapted by Oscar winners Aaron Sorkin and Steven Zaillian, the film follows Billy Beane (Brad Pitt), the general manager of the Oakland Athletics who has reached the end of his rope. Unable to form a winning team with the little amount of money being provided by upper management, Beane decides to go another route and abandon traditional scouting strategies. Teaming up with the young Peter Brand (Jonah Hill), they devise a system that not only turns the team around, but changes baseball entirely.
