Brad Pitt And Shia LaBeouf Hanging Tough In Fury Set Pics
After seeing what writer-director David Ayer did with the cop drama genre in the scintillating End of Watch, we've been pumped to see his World War II drama Fury. Thankfully, his enthusiasm seems to match our own, as he's been sharing plenty of peeks behind the scenes on his Twitter account, including some group shots of his cast.
The first shot appears to be (from left to right) Brad Pitt, Kevin Vance, Shia LaBeouf, Jon Bernthal, and Logan Lerman. The second shows Michael Pena, then Bernthal, LaBeouf, and Lerman once more. The name of the film is notably emblazoned on the tank behind them.
We first got wind of Ayer's love of sharing production shots back in September, when he unveiled this gorgeous portrait of his central cast draped on the tank for which the film is named.
Penned by Ayer, Fury is set in Europe during the last days of World War II. Pitt stars as a U.S. Army tank commander Sergeant called Wardaddy, who leads a unit of five soldiers (Pena, Lerman, LaBeouf and Bernthal) on a mission to creep their tank behind the enemy lines of Nazi Germany. Pena's character will play the tank's driver, who is often pretty tanked himself. LaBeouf plays a soldier whose lust for warfare subsided as soon as he was confronted with its horrible reality. Lerman fills the role of typist turned gunner Norman Ellison, notably and noticeably the youngest of the group, and Bernthal tackles the part of Grady "Coon-Ass" Travis, an Arkansas man with a hard edge. Vance appears to fill out the supporting cast along with Jason Isaacs, Scott Eastwood, Brad William Henke, Laurence Spellman, Jim Parrack and Eugenia Kuzmina.
Every day Ayer is posting another shot from the pic's production. We've included a few of our favorites below, but be sure to follow him to keep full informed.
Fury isn't due to hit theaters until November 12th, 2014. But in the meantime, Ayer has another action-drama coming our way in the form of Sabotage. Co-written by Ayer and Skip Woods, Sabotage stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as John 'Breacher' Wharton, the leader of an elite DEA task force. These are a skilled crew, dedicated to the job and each other. But after busting a major drug cartel's safe house, they begin getting picked off one by one by an unknown killer. Could it be that someone in the team has turned traitor?
Check out Sabotage's trailer below:
Sabotage opens April 11th, 2014.
