Something Wicked is a psychological thriller about two teenagers whose lives change entirely when the girl's parents are killed. Shantel VanSanten and John Robinson, who are both 24, have been cast, presumably as the teenagers. So where does 32-year-old Brittany Murphy fit in?

No idea, but she's been cast, according to THR, and will soon join the production in Oregon. I like the lean plot description in the article, but it seems that Murphy's presence in the film may be something of a spoiler. Does she kill the parents? Does she adopt the kids? Who knows. And given the state of Murphy's career lately (her most recent film was this straight to DVD effort), I'm tempted to say who cares.
