You would be forgiven for assuming that Brittany Murphy had given on a feature acting career. Having not starred in anything particularly memorable since 2005, Murphy has been cranking out parts in random direct-to-DVD movies and King of the Hill, but the girl once entrusted to star in her own romantic comedies just doesn't seem to be going anywhere.
Scratch that-- she's now going to Puerto Rico. A super-brief THR piece today announces that Murphy will star alongside True Blood's Stephen Moyer and Luis Guzman in The Caller. They're apparently so uninterested in the movie that they can't be blamed to give a plot description, and really I can't blame them. Want to put down odds on this one going direct to DVD just like Murphy's recently tour de force The Ramen Girl?
