Should we get ready to start growing a big, CGI-laden, bad ass beanstalk? According to Production Weekly, Jack the Giant Killer will begin filming this coming July in London and Iceland. Bryan Singer (Superman Returns,X2) is at the helm of the movie remake and fairy tale adaptation. Mark Bomback (Live Free or Die Hard) and Darren Lemke (Shrek Forever After) penned the script-- perfect for fairy tale meets action movie.
Singer was in the news recently when his name reattached to the much-in-need-of-help X-Men series. Originally, rumors had him directing X-Men: First Class, but now he has just signed on to produce the next installment of the series. Jack the Giant Killer is an adaptation of the Cornish fairy tale and 1962 movie of the same name. Jack is a young farmer leading an expedition to save a princess from a group of giants. Back to top
