Bryce Dallas Howard may end up playing Kate Connor, the wife of John Connor in the new Terminator movie. HR says she’s in negotiations to replace actress Charlotte Gainsbourg in the role.

In Terminator 3, the part of Kate Connor was played by Claire Danes. She was great, but McG seems intent on wiping away everything T3 did, and that means someone else for the part. That someone else looks like it’s going to be Bryce Dallas Howard, who is best known for sparing everyone to death in M. Night Shyamalan’s last two, truly awful movies and for a bland performance in Spider-Man 3 as Gwen Stacy. What I’m getting at here is that I hope they find someone else. Howard hasn’t proven she can actually act yet, and even though the rest of the cast is stellar, with McG directing Termiantor Salvation: The Future Begins needs all the help it can get if it’s going to turn out to be any good.
