Clint Eastwood got into the Matt Damon business for Invictus, and apparently he's not getting out any time soon. He's already cast Damon in his next project, a supernatural drama called Hereafter, and now he's drafted Bryce Dallas Howard to join Damon in the film.

Variety isn't saying what role she'll play, but it's kind of hard to figure out based on the plot description-- "a blue-collar American, a French journalist and a London school boy who are touched by death in different ways." Really, all I can see happening here is Howard playing the French journalist, but does that make sense? About as much as Matt Damon playing a South African rugby player, I guess.
