Yes, the great imagination vacuum of a studio has hired Wolfgang Peterson (Troy) to bring a new incarnation of Bullitt to the screen. Petersen almost sounded convincing when he said; "Bullitt" is not about remaking a film or repeating a plot, it is about reviving a great character.".

Nice try Wolfie, but let's not lie to ourselves, a remake is a remake and is just an excuse to coast and sell yourself off a brand-name rather than put hard work into coming up with a successful original idea. Make your own goddamn icons for the 21st century, stop recycling the previous generation's.
