Now that we’ve done our annual summer wrap up, I feel like I’ve got closure on the summer. I’ve started stocking up on bear traps for next year’s meeting with Scott Gwin, and I’m also getting my head right with seeing stuff that may not have things blowing up.

In particular, I’m excited about the new movie from the Coens, Burn After Reading. Hot on the heels of winning acclaim for the gritty, creepy No Country for Old Men, they’ve gone and done a heist comedy. When you’re a Coen brother, you can pretty much do whatever the hell you want. If they’d decided to direct a live action Looney Tunes film, they’d still probably have the world all aflutter. Actually, I guess they already did that and called it The Ladykillers.
