Even though more often than not, we can’t understand the words coming out of his mouth, I’m convinced that if we could understand him we’d all think of Antonio Banderas as a damn fine actor. Woody Allen must have a Banderas translator, because Variety says he’s added him to the cast of his next pic. Woody Allen just got a little bit more of the sexier.

The movie has no title, but it already has Naomi Watts, Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins, and Slumdog Millionaire love interest Frieda Pinto. Woody’s shooting it in London, which is good news for anyone who’s been keeping track of his recent work. The less Allen works in America, the better his movies seem to be. This one, whatever it’s about, stands a decent chance of being one of the good ones.
