More casting on Christopher Nolan’s next movie, which is absolutely not Batman. So please, no starting rumors that The Riddler is actually a clone of Captain Picard, because Tom Hardy is officially on board Inception along with former next to last Samurai Ken Watanabe.

THR, who reported the casting has no word on what part in the film either actor will play. I’m hoping Nolan can find some way to get Watanabe holding a Samurai sword again, but since we still really have only the vaguest of ideas of what Inception is about, I won’t hold my breath. Besides, the cast is already pretty stacked. Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Cillian Murphy, Ellen Page and Marion Cotillard are all signed to play primary roles.

Ken Watanabe has actually worked with Nolan before. He played a large part in the marketing materials for Batman Begins, as a Ra's al Ghul decoy. When it came to the actual film, his role was regrettably minimal.
